Divercol – Tintas e Vernizes began its activity in 1975. Originally, it was mainly aimed at the Furniture and Wood Market. This historical reality classifies the company as one of the main national producers of Varnishes.
In the 90s, the company made important investments in R&D and in the construction of a new factory. Since 1999, it has worked in a modern and well-located industrial unit in Lordelo (about 20 km from Porto), prepared to overcome the new challenges that the sector has been facing.
With the beginning of the new millennium, Divercol entered new market segments. A strong product development policy, aggressive Marketing strategy and a lot of dedication to the business allowed the development of new distribution channels.
In 2008, Divercol absorbed the marketing of the “Vedeta” brand, with an important penetration in the traditional distribution channel and a strong competitive position in some special market niches. This operation reinforced the Company’s competitive position, through the use of strong synergies, opening up new development opportunities and the business’s ability to internationalize.
